HE said, SHE said!  A Good Life Story…..
The following is a success story about Keaton who works with one of our Rec Therapists, Wyakita Toles. Wyakita started working with Keaton in 2018.  He had very few goals established by himself, his family or his team.  Since 2018, Keaton has learned and improved appropriate social interactions with peers and strangers, improved his ability to express his emotions, increased his leisure awareness by engaging in community outings and activities with Action Club and Rec Therapy, learned how to drive, and moved into his own apartment.  With support, Keaton has been able to build a lifelong friendship with a peer he spends a lot of time with, even outside of therapy.  Keaton has become more confident over the years and has continued to mature and build skills required to be responsible and independent. Keaton budgets and balances his own finances by collecting data in a binder he bought from the dollar store. Keaton is now 24 years old and lives on the northside of Indy. Keaton states his goal for the near future would be to become his own payee. Keaton will continue to pursue his GOOD LIFE!  Way to go Keaton, your LEL family is proud of you!
